Scotland’s Tallest Advertising Tower Build is Underway.

Wildstone Build was recently featured in the Renfrewshire News for beginning the installation of the M8 Tower - Scotland’s tallest advertising structure.

Wildstone Build collaborated with Glasgow Airport, who own the land on the M8 near Glasgow, to design and build the M8 Tower – a freestanding advertising structure displaying digital adverts to passing motorway passengers.

The M8 is Scotland’s busiest motorway, meaning the digital advertising screen will receive 1.6 million impressions every week from people travelling along the road.

The tower will stand at an impressive 40 metres tall and house two screens. The screen overlooking the motorway will be one of the largest digital advertising screens in Europe, the other will display the same content but on a smaller screen, targeting passengers on the road below.

Wildstone has fully funded, designed and installed the structure. With an acute focus on design integrity – the pattern on the tower is inspired by its region, Paisley in Renfrewshire. Paula Oliver, Managing Director of Wildstone Consulting said, “We chose the Paisley design to reflect that it sits in Paisley, an area rich in history and famous for its textiles and material design in Scotland.”

Modern in design, but in-keeping with tradition, the M8 Tower is due for completion in 2019.
